  • Our definition of "snowsurfing" is simply "surfing on snow." The common thread between ocean surfing and snowsurfing is the harmony with natural terrain using a single board, experienced uniquely in each specific moment. Snowsurfing takes place on snow-covered mountains, and just like the ocean, no two days have identical weather or snow conditions. Though snow-covered mountains may appear flat at first glance, they possess various undulations and 3D lines akin to ocean waves. Our board concept and design consistently focus on capturing these 3D lines, allowing riders to trace the mountain's contours and effortlessly make turns even on gentle slopes at low to medium speeds. So, a snowsurf board is the term we use to describe our boards, and snowsurfing is what we do.

  • Yes and no. Moss Snowstick emerged from the concept of "surfing on snow," with the aim of adapting the dynamic "riding style" of surfing to a variety of wave movements, instead of targeting specific snow conditions. Since our inception, we've crafted versatile all-snow and all-mountain snowsurfboards that excel not only in deep powder found in the backcountry, but also in side country chopped-up powder accessible by lifts, groomed runs, packed snow, and slushy spring snow as water begins to emerge. Throughout the product testing process, we primarily focus on groomed and packed snow, saving powder tests for the final stage. If a board demonstrates exceptional performance on groomed and packed snow, it's virtually guaranteed to deliver a fantastic ride on powder as well.

  • Absolutely. We have three models specifically designed for young snowsurfers: the U2, SW26, and MMD35.

  • Our boards are engineered, tested, and subjected to strict quality control by our product specialists in Japan. In order to accommodate multi-type small-quantity production, we collaborate with top-tier factories and expert board builders in both Japan and China. This partnership ensures a continuous supply and consistently high quality for each board we produce.

  • Tuning and waxing a board with our channel base system requires a slightly different approach compared to traditional boards. Models like the Performance Quad Series, the C3, and the Mahi feature channel areas that aren't base-ground, and may feel rougher than the rest of the base. You can choose to smooth these surfaces with fine sandpaper for enhanced glide and performance, though it's not a mandatory step. Once ready, continue with the standard hot waxing process. Scraping off hot wax from the channels can be somewhat time-consuming, so opting for liquid wax might simplify this part of the process. Patience is key during this procedure.

  • Both the side and base edges come with a 90-degree angle.
