Is Moss Snowstick a powder board?
Yes—and no. Moss Snowstick was born from the idea of “surfing on snow.” Rather than designing boards for specific snow conditions, we focus on expressing a surf-inspired riding style across all types of terrain and snow—much like riding waves in the ocean.
From the beginning, we’ve built versatile snowsurfboards that perform across the entire mountain—deep powder, sidecountry chop, groomers, packed snow, and slushy spring conditions.

What is snowsurfing?
Our definition of “snowsurfing” is simple: surfing on snow.
At its core, both ocean surfing and snowsurfing share a common thread—riding in harmony with natural terrain on a single board, with each moment offering a unique experience.
Snowsurfing takes place on snow-covered mountains where, like the ocean, no two days are ever the same. While mountains may appear flat at first glance, they are filled with subtle undulations and natural 3D lines—much like waves.
Our board design is built around capturing these 3D contours, allowing riders to flow with the terrain, draw natural lines, and make smooth turns—even on gentle slopes at low to medium speeds.
Simply put, a snowsurfboard is what we make—and snowsurfing is what we do.

How do you properly tune and wax a board with the channel base system?
Tuning and waxing a board with our channel base system requires a slightly different approach compared to traditional boards.
On models like the PQ EX Series, C3, and Mahi, the channel areas are not base-ground and may feel slightly rougher than the rest of the base. If desired, you can lightly smooth these sections with fine sandpaper to improve glide—but this step is optional.
Once prepared, proceed with a standard hot waxing process. Keep in mind that scraping wax out of the channels can take a bit more time and care. For a quicker and easier option, liquid wax can also work well with these designs.
Where are your boards manufactured?
We manufacture our boards at top-tier factories in both Japan and China, working with trusted partners we’ve collaborated with for decades.
Production runs are intentionally limited, with many processes carried out by skilled hands and backed by over 50 years of expertise.
All design, engineering, on-snow testing, and final quality control are conducted in Japan, ensuring consistently high standards in both craftsmanship and riding performance.
What are the side and base edge angles?
Both the side and base edges come with a 90-degree angle.
